Sai nova lista de profissões para contratação rápida de mão-de-obra estrangeira no Québec

Para cumprir uma promessa de campanha, o governo quebequense diminuiu o volume da imigração mas, como a necessidade de mão-de-obra é imensa, eles lançaram novidades para facilitar a contratação de mais trabalhadores temporários.

O caminho normal para a contratação de um funcionário estrangeiro é passar pelo processo estipulado pelo Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) que determina as profissões que se encaixam no programa.

Alguns cargos, no entanto, têm uma demanda tão alta que seguem um caminho mais curto, batizado de “facilitated LMIA”, em que o contratante não precisa anunciar uma vaga para o pessoal local antes de buscar um trabalhador fora do país. E isso elimina pelo menos um mês no processo todo.

Em 2019, o governo provincial resolveu inovar e lançou listas regionais, mas voltou ao formato de uma listagem geral para todo o seu território esse ano. Seguindo a mais recente Classificação Nacional de Ocupações, eles incluíram 116 novas atividades e retiraram outras nove.

A nova listagem está em vigor desde o dia 24 de fevereiro desse ano, mas o governo deu um prazo de 30 dias para avaliar pedidos que ainda sigam a lista de 2019, lembrando que muita gente usa a contratação temporária como porta de entrada para um processo de residência permanente mais tarde.
